The Handpicked Story

Eight years ago, a small group of ladies from Campbellsville Christian Church came together with the goal of providing local women with an opportunity to step away from the busy-ness and burdens of life and into a single day of worship, encouragement and Biblical teaching just for them. Out of that desire, the Handpicked Women’s Conference was born. Since then, the conference has grown, pulling in women from around the region and across dozens of churches. But our goal has remained the same. This was never meant to be about a single church, but about the common thread we share in Christ, and that’s why we are so excited that, once again, this year’s event will be presented in partnership with four other area churches, as well as Campbellsville University.

 With this joining of forces and resources, our prayer is that Handpicked will continue to be a sweet spot in the lives of women for years to come. Since last year’s Handpicked Conference, women from area churches have partnered on several projects, demonstrating that God’s love has no (denominational) boundaries. After all, it is the unshakable joy of Christ that unites us all; the unchanging hope of the gospel that brings us together, in hopes that it’s message will be proclaimed and its power would change lives.
